COSMQC ARCHITECTURE
A quantum information processor based on ferroelectrically coupled electron spins in silicon has been proposed. Ge quantum dots fabricated on silicon each hold a single electron. The electron spin can be initialized optically using polarization selection rules aviailable for these small dots. Quantum evolution of spin is controlled optically using a field effect in the nearby ferroelectric material. Readout may be achieved optically or electrically.
